All our practices offer digital retinal photography as part of our comprehensive eye examination with no additional charge. This allows us to photograph your retina, enabling us to use these images for future comparison which is useful in monitoring the health of your eyes as you get older. It also enables us to show you how your retina appears on our monitor allowing you to actively take part in your eyecare and also giving you an insight into what we actually see when we shine our 'torch' into your eyes. These images can also be used to improve the quality of referrals to GP's or to the Hospital Eye Service.
This service is offered to all patients over the age of 8 and there is no separate fee for this service.
