Justine

Our Practice Manager in our Ebbw Vale practice is Justine Bennett. Justine joined the Optical Centre in May 2014 when we opened our Ebbw Vale practice, and has been a huge help in the process of this branch becoming well established. Justine has been working as an Optical Assistant since 2003 and has been the Practice Manager of our Ebbw Vale practice since she joined our company in 2014. Justine has also achieved her WOPEC Primary Eyecare in Wales Foundation and Intermediate level 1 and level 2 in 2016. Justine is a friendly and happy familiar face to all our patients, and is always happy to assist you whatever your eyecare needs.

Practice History:

In January 2014 we saw an opportunity to open a new start up practice in Ebbw Vale due to the closure of the Rayners Opticians practice in the town. What started out as an idea quickly moved to locating a suitable shop unit, completely renovating and redecorating, and then fitting it out ready to open to the public in May 2014. This was a very busy and stressful four months, and it was just the start of all the hard work needed to ensure this venture became a success.

Thankfully the practice is now well established, and the number of patients seen each week has steadily grown since day one. In our practice we also work closely with the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board seeing patients that have been diagnosed with Glaucoma for their follow up appointments and conducting Glaucoma assessments on patients with suspected Glaucoma. This enables us to see patients ‘closer to home’ rather than them having to travel further to the hospital which allows us to help play our part in reducing the strain on the Hospital Eye Service.

We offer a full range of eye care services in Ebbw Vale including emergency appointments, Low Vision examinations, Contact Lens Fittings, Home Visits, OCT scans, Visual Field tests and a great choice of eyewear for both adults and children.
