Our Practice Managers:

Natasha Holly

Our Practice Managers in our Mountain Ash practice are Holly Davies and Natasha Baxter. Holly joined the Optical Centre in January 2012 as an Optical Assistant and is now one of our two Practice Managers here. Holly lives in the area with her husband and two young children. Natasha joined the Optical Centre in March 2015 as an Optical Assistant and is also now a Practice Manager. Natasha also lives in the area with her partner and son. Both Holly and Tasha are happy and familiar faces to our patients, and are always happy to assist you whatever your eyecare needs.

Practice History:

In 2002, after occupying quite a small Optical practice in Mountain Ash for over 30 years, we moved to our current premises. This larger floor area allowed us to provide a higher level of clinical care, better ocular technology such as retinal photography, and a wider choice of eyewear.

As we fast forward to today, the technological advances in eyecare mean that over the last 4 years we have been able to offer OCT scans as well as retinal photography. Additionally, since the pandemic we have developed our relationship with Cwm Taf University Health Board so that we are now doing follow up assessments for patients diagnosed with Glaucoma, as well as monitoring Diabetic patients who have developed Diabetic Retinopathy. Our Mountain Ash practice was also chosen by the Health Board to remain open during the initial Covid lockdown period offering emergency & acute examinations for any patients suffering with eye related symptoms, as well as seeing key workers with eyecare or spectacle problems during this time. We also collected & repaired spectacles and delivered spectacles & contact lenses during this time.

We offer a full range of eye care services in Mountain Ash including emergency appointments, Low Vision examinations, Contact Lens Fittings, Home Visits, OCT scans, Visual Field tests and a great choice of eyewear for both adults and children.
